From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Anti-caking agent)
Anticaking agents are used in such things as table salt to keep the product from forming lumps, making it better for packaging, transport and for the consumer. Anticaking agent in salt is denoted in the ingredients as anti-caking agent (554), that is, sodium aluminosilicate, a man-made product. This product is present in nearly all commercial table salts as well as dried milks, egg mixes, sugar products, and flours.
As a salt of aluminium, the potential for this compound to cause health problems should be noted. Aluminium is known to cause placentel problems in pregnancy and has been linked to Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and bone loss.
More examples of anti-caking agents are calcium silicate, dimethyl polysiloxane, and sodium bicarbonate.

I hope Mom will forgive me for stealing her shot and posting this gorgeous picture. It is incredible that these fish swim upstream for miles and miles to lay their eggs and then die!!! Nature is so loyal and dilligent to their systems and instinct....why are WE so complicated as humans???....oh I know, we have a soul. When we get our emotional, physical and spiritual beings all crossed up, then it is complicated. To be balanced as a salmon fish...maybe just last a little longer.

"Yoga allows us to live as we would want to, usefully, lovingly and interestingly." -Swami Pragyamurti, a Satyananda Yoga Monk
Benefits of Yoga:
- realigns the body, strengthening bones and joints, tones and lengthens muscles
- builds self-esteem and self-acceptence
- detoxifies the system, purifying the internal system
- builds strength, flexibility and stamina
- increases blood circulation, which improves respiration and raises energy and vitality
- calms the mind and soothes the emotions, removing anxiety
- brings focus and clarity
- massages the internal organs, thus improving bodily functions
Yoga has become increasingly more popular in North America, as many other alternative modalities as well. It is encouraging to see our Nation taking more responsibilty for their own health. This is an improvement, as long as the stop b4 Yoga class IS NOT at Mcdonalds.
(No offense Mcdonalds, "Super Size Me" kind of remains on my mind)

Well I have mentioned before of the inspiration that so many clients have been to me. The strength they have found within to continue with honour and dignity in the most adverse conditions. Recently a client, you know who you are, shared a nice thought. I am not going to put it in quotations as I can't remember the exact wording.

I never give up an oppurtunity to work on children (neither does this Grandma....:). There is a pleasant innocence within their presence and being. They teach us adults really how simple we can live and still be happy. It is when we get caught up in the stresses of this life, that we become unhealthy and not well. I think one of the largest stressers to a child is not to be loved. A child that is truly loved is a happy child!!!

I have this on hand ALL of the time. It really isn't very expensive at all and is a good insurance plan against dangerous illness b/c of a weakened immune system. I found yogurt was ok but the amount of sugar and dairy in it was counteracting the good in it. So I take this instead and have plain yogurt on occasion. jh
