A little nature walk...

Today Haden and I were rummaging through our garden and I went to open a husk of corn and invaded these little ladies' home:( All cozied up to one another.... is this a sign winter is here sooner than later???.....aaahhh the wonderful symptoms that come with season change...
A few ways to season change gracefully:
  • keep exercising...good circulation encourages stimulation to the brain to prevent depression!!
  • keep fluid intakes up...you become dehydrated and you ceaze (sp) up.
  • keep positive thoughts alive (every season this is helpful)
  • when the fresh fruits and veggies aren't readily available in the supermarkets supplement your diet with a "GOOD" multi-vitamin (for more information contact us (306)773-7888 or your Naturopath/Nutritionist).

Good luck with that and we at Vital Balance Bodyworks wish you a healthy and happy fall season!!!

Seeking Balance

ps...it is a pleasant time in my gardens right now....the sunflowers are blooming:)

Borrowed kindly from Anton Simmha's Book "ashtanga yoga"......
"As children we exist "freely"- in a natural state of balance between mind and body in which thought and movement are seamless. As we grow into adulthood, most of us are conditioned to focus on the mind's capabilities at the expense of the body's and our natural state of balance is lost."
Well said. What more can I say??
I want to remind you that Glenda will be available for sessions the remainder of the week and until Tuesday of the following. I will be adventuring in the East country.

Animals are living, too!!!

My princess: her registered name "RIPZONE DOCOTOES BAR"

I have had many the privilage to work on animals. From dogs to cats to larger animals....the beauty of the "HORSE." My little filly, "Ripzone," (she's a cremello...palomino with gorgeous blue eyes) was stuggling with her front left shoulder. During training she began favoring it...we simply had her training completed at a very gentle pace and then turned her out to pasture for healing. I worked on her from time to time to encourage the strength and development of her joints and muscles. I did mainly Shiatsu Therapy on her. The next year she was fully strong and sure footed. Because of her nature she seems to be the bottom of the pecking order in a field of 6 horses. She somehow got tangled and sprained her ankle (back this time). So her concerned owner...MOI, went again to the remedy of alternative care. This time I did Quantum Touch® on her, within hours the swelling had gone down and within days you couldn't even tell she had trauma to her back leg. They love the nurturing and get "dopey" while working on them. It is really not that I prefer to work on these creatures but really ENJOY working on them. Animals are strictly "instinctive." We humans, on the other hand are that (somewhere in there) and extremely emotionally, egotistically set. When I work with the energy of the animal it is what it is.....no issues, no baggage.....just what it is, is what it is. And that being said, I still firmly believe animals have feelings....just unconditional ones....ones that I need to take a lesson from. Our instincts are our intuitive sense...we ALL have them, our journey in life gently (and perhaps not so gently) directs us to them.
Good luck my friends....I shall not be alarmed when you enter my office and bark.....

ps I truly believe animals can teach us some of life's simple lessons if we are sensitive to them.

Summer growth....

Well it certainly has been steady in the office this summer. We've had the privilage of meeting INCREDIBLE new individuals on a DAILY basis. It is even more rewarding seeing clients put a complete effort into their well being and place a responsibilty on themselves to improve their quality of life. Through a wholistic approach to our health there is benefit to spare.
REMEMBER: WE AS THERAPISTS CANNOT HEAL YOU!!! WE CAN HELP MAINTAIN THE INSTINCTIVE BALANCE WITHIN TO HEAL YOURSELF!!! OUR BODIES ARE GENIUSES......THEY"LL CORRECT THEMSELVES ONCE THEIR IN A CONDITION TO DO SO. WE DO NOT ALWAYS UNDERSTAND HOW OR SPECIFICALLY WHY BUT IT HAPPENS....WE SEE IT EVERY DAY!!!!
