my sister'n'law & i had the discussion awhile back about the difference between white and brown eggs. further research has proven the color of the egg takes after the mother's coloring. and in fact has NOTHING to do with flavour, nutritional value of the egg. i suppose it is important to note that rhode island hens are bigger thus eat more, produce larger brown eggs and this translates into more cost at the supermarket. who would have thought? i so love brown eggs, brown paper towel, brown note books.....does it come from the trend of recycled or growing up on a farm where the chickens layed brown eggs?
